- Hike or ride along the 400 State Trail, Wisconsin’s most beautiful trail
- During the summer, catch a baseball game with the Madison Mallards
- Climb the lighthouse on Cana Island
- Check out the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, which has the only granite dome in the U.S.
- The Olbrich Botanical Gardens are 16 acres of absolutely beautiful outdoor gardens (in Madison)
- Take the kids to the Madison Children’s Museum
- Catch a University of Wisconsin Badgers ice hockey game in Madison

- If you are near the University of Wisconsin Madison, visit the Allen Centennial Gardens
