  4. Swim, fish, play at Tenney Park in Madison
  5. If you like modern art, check out the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art
  6. Check out the Wisconsin State Fair every August, and don’t miss the cheese curds or cream puffs!
  7. Hike or ride along the 400 State Trail, Wisconsin’s most beautiful trail
  8. During the summer, catch a baseball game with the Madison Mallards
  9. Climb the lighthouse on Cana Island
  10. Check out the Wisconsin State Capitol in Madison, which has the only granite dome in the U.S.
  11. The Olbrich Botanical Gardens are 16 acres of absolutely beautiful outdoor gardens (in Madison)
  12. Take the kids to the Madison Children’s Museum
  13. Catch a University of Wisconsin Badgers ice hockey game in Madison

  17. Canoe along one of the many waterways around Wisconsin
  18. If you are near the University of Wisconsin Madison, visit the Allen Centennial Gardens

  21. The University of Wisconsin Geology Museum has a small collection of fossils, rocks, and meteorites

  28. Visit the Mustard Museum in Middleton where you can taste hundreds of mustards
